WFI ties up with Sporty Solutionz for commercial profiling
Wrestling Federation of India has entered into a long-term deal with Sporty Solutionz, India’s leading multi-dimensional sports business company, for commercial growth and overall development of the sport in India. Sporty Solutionz will also work as a consultant and commercial partner for overall profiling of the sport.
The WFI and Sporty Solutionz have inked an exclusive multi-year deal to ensure an overall sustained growth for wrestling in the country.
Sporty Solutionz, in consultation with the national governing body for the sport, will create new competitive and commercial opportunities for wrestling; evaluate, create and market monetization opportunities, including creating new properties and competitions with commercial and broadcast values. The sports business company will also serve as WFI’s adviser for media, events, and operations.
“Over the years, the wrestling federation has established the commercial worth of India’s indigenous sport. We have been looking for commercial partners to extend the reach of wrestling in terms of competition and commercial growth. We were in talks with various professionals and companies. We feel this tie-up with Sporty Solutionz brings the best values on board for us,” said Mr. Braj Bhushan Sharan Singh, President, Wrestling Federation of India.
“We have witnessed Sporty Solutionz commercial prowess in the field of sports. They are pioneers in creating league models for sports other than cricket. I am confident together with their commercial acumen in sports, we will take wrestling to new heights – with an assured growth and rewards for our wrestlers.”
Sporty Solutionz will also work on creating a commercially viable broadcast profile for wrestling.
“Wrestling in India is the sport with the best commercial potential. Urban India is becoming increasingly receptive to combat sports. Wrestling has its own market among urban masses, which needs to be channelized for enhanced values. Wrestling has an unparalleled base among rural masses. The broadcast data has established the potential of wrestling as the best among non-cricket leagues in India. There are days when wrestling numbers have matched international cricket ratings on a single television channel in India,” says Ashish Chadha, Chief Executive, Sporty Solutionz. “This speaks volumes for the potential of this sport.”
“Indian wrestling is fortunate to have a strong administrative team with Mr. Braj Bhushan Sharan Singh as a committed guardian at the helm. We will chip in to add commercial values to their initiatives,” adds Chadha.
Sporty Solutionz with an exclusive mandate will start working on the wrestling portfolio with immediate effect.
